Our nervous systems play a key role in our overall health and well-being. When our spine becomes blocked with stress, either chemical physical or emotional. The messages from the brain can no longer communicate properly with the rest of our body.
There are 3 main stressors in our lives. Chemical stress, emotional stress and physical stress. Chemical stress can come from any processed foods we are eating, aerosol sprays, lotions, perfumes, dryer sheet etc. Emotional stress can stem from a traumatic life event, abuse, loss of a loved one or simply someone saying something mean to you. Physical Stress forms in our body from repetitive motions, heavy lifting, car accidents, surgery, etc.. Our bodies cannot tell the difference between being attacked by a lion or eating some unhealthy foods - either way it results in a stress response.
As we inevitably encounter these stressors throughout our life, this stress begins to store in our bodies along our spine creating blockages. Blockages are tiny tears in the micro-fibers that surround our vertebrae. Which leaves our nervous system no longer able to communicate properly with our brain. In time, our bodies begin communicating in other forms sending warning and help signals. This is when we begin to experience pain and symptoms. As the blockages begin to worsen these symptoms can turn into disease and illness. It is time we become accountable for our own health and wellbeing, to get to know ourselves and listen to what our bodies are saying.
